D-day -1

Well here we are one day out! Couldn't use the high speed connection with Freedom link, oh well, gotta struggle with the slowwwwwwwww 56K local connection. I know I'm prepared and am looking foward to getting started tomorrow. My mom and I toured the beautiful Maxwell facilities Sunday and Monday, she made the trip down here such a blast. All I can say is remember the Denny's hippo mask!! haha.. She has some great pictures for ya'll (had to put the southern jargon in). Hopefully with Aidan's help she can post them, because I'm not going to even try with such a slow connection. But I will try to keep it updated best as possible. The letters from Shane and my mom succinctly put my sentiments into words. I'll carry them and the heart felt support from everyone always. You guys really know how to make a guy feel loved=)and whenever I need a pick me up I'll read the cards and remember your loving words. Godbless all, and as He has been there for me in the past, May his light continue to give me strength when I am weak.

Tomorrow is the big drive to Alabama!!

Well all the anticipation leading up to this! Can you say a little nervous, na just a little, its overwhelming the level of excitment pulsing through my system. Maybe a nice 1000 mile drive will calm my nerves =). But I did manage to get a 12:01am Star Wars premier before I went; check out the pics! Lots of nerds; I fit right in. Sweet home Alabama here I come! If I can't keep up the blog posts, I'll make sure someone takes over. Out for now everyone....au revoir! Wait that was French, what have they done for us lately! Lets try that again and keep it english, take care everyone. Say those prayers...thanks and lots of love, babye for now.

As I embark on my career, the sense of pride and honor I carry with me is indescribable! It's amazing to finally realize the path God has laid before me. I place myself wholly in His hands and pray that I and my country can offer comfort and peace to his children the world over.
During my time in service it can become rather difficult to keep in contact with family and friends. I would like to first and foremost offer my sincerest thanks for their love, guidance, and counsel. BIG SHOT OUT TO MY MAMA (I will forever be a mamas boy!LOVE YA!) As a medium of communication for family and friends I will utilize this blog to journalize my career in the Air Force; beginning with Officer Training School which I depart for Friday 5/20.
Still not sure how I'm going to work out the logistics of posting in a timely manner, since you're not allowed to use the internet during OTS. But I will try my best to post when I get off base privileges on the weekends, towards the middle of OTS...till then happy landings!
